I purchased budget-friendly elec/acoustic, figuring that I could throw a Tonewood Amp on it if it sounded like a typical budget-friendly elec/acoustic. I am pleased to report that I haven't done that. This is a great sounding instrument, holds its intonation very well, and has the look and feel of a much more expensive instrument. I would recommend an Orangewood instrument to anyone.
I first heard of Orangewood through some YouTubers that I follow, and I was a bit skeptical at the start. But then I bought the Rey Mahogany and was pleasantly surprised at how great it sounded for the small price. Based on that guitar, I decided to buy the Morgan Spruce (as I was in genuine need of an acoustic-electric) and I was officially hooked on Orangewood models. They're comfortable, sound amazing, and keeps some change in my pocket. There's a clarity that's refreshing for sound and they look amazing to boot. I'll definetely be shopping here again in the future, and I encourage you all to do the same.
It’s my second guitar and I couldn’t be happier, it plays well and is a good size for my hands
The sound, despite it’s a spruce top is very pitchy and tiny. Not for strumming. I’m still getting to acquaint with the sound, it’s I don’t the base. With little amount to add maybe consider buying echo or Brooklyn with a full sound as what I’ve heard in YouTube. Otherwise there’s other brand to consider with this price range. Sorry orangewood.
