Let me start by saying WOW!
I live in the Greater Metro Atlanta area. I got my guitar in 2 days. Was waiting for me when I got home from work. Pulled it out of the box and strummed it. The B string was a few cents flat. Set up is great. Sounds great. Have not had an opportunity to try out the electronics but can't see where they would not great. Very pleased with it thus far.
amazing, loved it!
I had few questions marks before buying it, everyone has! But I decided to send an email and see if they could help me... and they DID.
Mr Antony was great, help me out, explain and HE WAS RIGHT. No words like I said.
Thank you .
DUKE is definitely a great move. Powerful in its sound with the depth that characterizes a JUMBO.
I have tried others with large body sizes and the DUKE is a great investment.
I am happy with the purchase, it is easy to play and the sound captured through the Fishman is very good.
As a slight disadvantage is that its tuner could be improved
And the string action could have been better configured from the factory. At least my new DUKE had the height a little over 2.95 mm, but this is a little less and can be solved with a quick calibration.
The size and great setup make the Duke very easy to play. The Sitka / Pau Ferro woods used are unique in the jumbo realm in my experience, and this is a great tonewood combo. Sound is full, bright and balanced. The tuners should be better grade - I replaced them as they were somewhat sloppy - never-the-less a minor issue. Bottom line, this is an excellent jumbo guitar~
I can't recall how many acoustic guitars I have tried over the span of 25 years, it's got to be over a hundred. It's rare that you pick up something for the first time and it just feels perfect. After watching a number of reviews of other Orangewood models I decided to give them a try. This is despite being very reluctant to buy an acoustic without playing it first. My fears were unfounded as it was immediately apparent that this guitar was exactly what I have been looking for and unable to find. It feels great, sounds great and I can't recall any guitar less than $1,000 that I was so immediately impressed with. I am sold on Orangewood as a brand, and I would not hesitate to buy from them again. The value you are getting here is pretty remarkable.
